God desires us to worship Him in spirit and truth. One way we have seen fruit in introducing people to our Lord Jesus Christ is through music. Music can help teach people how to have a speaking personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Often the words in the songs will speak the words you desire to share with God from your heart, or the words He wants to share with you.

We also see music as a tool for preparing people to receive the teaching of God’s word.  At Calvary Chapel Sioux Falls, we teach through the scriptures, Genesis to Revelation, chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse.   Because of this, the worship leaders are able to prayerfully read the next chapter of scripture in the Bible and prepare appropriate music to encourage people’s thoughts on the surveyed section of scripture to be taught.

We recognize that man tends to elevate those who are musically gifted to superstar status, putting the focus on the musician.  Since true worship exalts God rather than men, it is our sincerest desire that the focus of worship be on God rather than on those leading worship.
